Why your support matters
Loneliness can happen to anyone, at any age. Often the hardest part is having somewhere to go. Empty Chairs gives people exactly that: a table, a friendly face in orange, and no pressure to stay any longer than they want.
Hosts give their time for free. Your donation covers what they shouldn't have to.

Is Empty Chairs a charity?
Not at the moment. Empty Chairs is a non-profit company limited by guarantee (company no. 17342703), not a registered charity. It exists to pursue its purpose, not to make a profit for anyone.
Because we're not a registered charity, donations aren't eligible for Gift Aid and aren't tax-deductible. Read how Empty Chairs is run.
Where does my money go?

How we use money explains where our money comes from and what we spend it on.
Is it secure?
Yes. Payments are handled by Stripe. You pay on Stripe's secure page, and your card details never reach our website.
How do I change or cancel a monthly donation?
Any time, in a couple of clicks. Manage your monthly donation and sign in with the email address you used when you donated.
Will I get a receipt?
Yes. A receipt is emailed to the address you give when you pay, and monthly donors get one each month.
Can my company match or sponsor?
We'd love that. Email us or see our partnership options.
